Where does your donation go?

That’s totally up to you! Your donation will help in a VARIETY of ways!  


Unrestricted Funds/General Donations is the foundation of The Children’s Museum. These general funding programs support daily operations for the museum.

Restricted Funds are designed for specific programs here at The Children’s Museum. 
    Programs:

  • Healthy Kids! – A bi-weekly weekly program designed for children to learn the importance of healthy eating and exercise. Community professionals volunteer their time to make a difference in children’s lives today.
  • Arts & Craft Supplies – An intricate part of The Children’s Museum is the hands-on educational components we offer for children. We will be able to offer every child a chance to make a unique piece of art with your help. 
  • Discovery Programming – Includes year-round educational programs such as: Summer Camps, daily programs and educational workshops.

    Scholarships:

  • Subsidize Admission Cost – This fund allows children and families the opportunity to visit this special place with no cost.
    • Families
    • Family Membership for (4) - $100
    • Family Membership for 10 families - $1,000
  •  
    • School Groups, Non-Profits, Private Schools
    • 25 students = 1 Class - $300
    • One grade level - $1,000

    Building:

  • Capital Campaign – This fund will help the museum’s expansion. The museum will be able to offer more exhibits geared toward children and impact more children in the Brazos Valley.  Includes the construction, fabrication and installation of exhibits. Provides funds for structure, restoration and improvements to the facilities.
  • Building Restoration – This fund will maintain and preserve our precious building which was built in 1928.

 

In-Kind Donations

if you have items you can’t use anymore or are unique, you can drop them off at The Children’s Museum! Items can include anything from unused paper to fabric and yarn to that old computer desk.

Gifts – can also be a donation.
